SONG LYRICS AS A STIMULAN MEDIA IN WRITING SHORT STORIES FOR JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

Abstract: The song is a work favored by all humans in the world. Songs can be enjoyed allpeople, including teenagers who are still active school. Because it related to imagination,songs certainly good medium when applied learning process classroom,especially writing short stories. Therefore, this study aims determine effectiveness of songmedia stimulating ability write stories students. This research quantitativeresearch with Cluster Sampling method (group sample). used posttest-only controlgroup design, two groups: experimental class and control which only final testresults were taken (post test). population students at one junior highschools Jakarta, Indonesia (51 students). 25 positioned as 26students class. results showed that throughsong media was effective based on theresults t-test, found t-count=2.73 t-table = 2.01. t-count greater than t-table,then Ho rejected, concluded average outcomes storiesthat use higher donot media.Key Words: Song Lyrics, Short Stories, Writing, Junior High School.
